Looking for a sweet picnic spot in central Florida? You will find just that at The Lions Park in Lake Alfred, Florida. All roads lead to this beautiful heart of Central Florida park. Located midway between Orlando and Tampa just off Interstate 4. Take the Lake Alfred.Winter Haven Exit and head south on SR 557 into Lake Alfred. The first stop sign you come to is W Haines Blvd. Turn right on W Haines Blvd. and then right on N Nekoma Av. From Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow and points south, take Hwy. 17 north to Lake Alfred. The only traffic light in town is at the intersection of 17/92 and Haines Blvd. Turn left on W Haines Blvd. and right on N Nekoma. The park is equipped with playground equipment, a ball field, covered and uncovered picknic tables and grills. A concession stand and wooden decking look out over the lake and adjoin a covered pavilion. The Youth Center sits up on the hill overlooking the park.
